What “Food with Function Claims” means
Japan has two main routes for health claims on food. FOSHU products are reviewed and approved by the state. Food with Function Claims products are notified: the company submits its own evidence on safety and function, and the government doesn't evaluate it. Tokusui is the second kind, and its pack says so.
Does Tokusui work?
Tokusui uses the same 23 mg daily dose as the 12-week human study of HMPA, which reported 4.2 cm² less visceral fat area in adults with a BMI of 23–30. That study is company-reported. The mechanism is supported by mouse studies. See our HMPA research tracker for each one.
Can you buy Tokusui in India?
We're not aware of official Indian distribution as of October 2026. Imported bottles may turn up online. Get Waisted is building an HMPA water specifically for India.
